Mamo is looking for a Finance Manager to own and drive our day-to-day finance operations. We are looking for someone excited to own how finance works at Mamo and make it materially better as we grow.

You’ll lead the team and day-to-day finance operations, but you’ll also be deeply involved with the numbers yourself. The ideal candidate would thrive on process, accuracy, and ownership. You’re comfortable closing books and redesigning how the close happens; you’re someone who would enjoy spotting a messy process and proactively rebuilding it.

What you'll do

• You own the monthly close process end-to-end and you work to make the process faster and more automated each cycle as we scale across multiple entities.
• You oversee day-to-day accounting operations across all our entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
• You ensure finance operations run smoothly and build to scale from manual to automated work.
• You oversee and review the work of the finance team and any external partners to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• You design and own robust controls over vendor and other payables in a way that are lightweight and avoid causing bottlenecks.
• You own that VAT and regulatory filings across our entities happen accurately and in a timely manner, and you’re constantly finding better, faster, less manual ways to get there.
• You own and manage auditor relationships and external finance partnerships.
• You architect and continuously improve our financial and accounting systems and process documentation.
• You stay on top of our cash and financial health, spotting risks early and acting on them.
• You build and run reporting, budgeting and analysis that helps leadership make better decisions.
• You own and strategically lead partnerships with our banks, insurers and other financial service providers.
  
  

What we're looking for

• At least 5 years of hands-on accounting or finance experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment such as fintech, a high-growth startup, or financial services.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent (preferred).
• Deep working knowledge of accounting principles, month-end close processes, and financial controls.
• Experience working across multiple legal entities and currencies.
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory and tax requirements (VAT, DIFC/DMCC compliance) is a strong plus.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
• High attention to detail with a low tolerance for errors.
• A builder mindset: you don't just maintain processes — you improve them.
• Comfortable operating independently with minimal direction in a fast-moving environment.
